2 dark (k)night

It's been raining, raining, raining. I feel like I live in Gotham City from batman. Which is very appropriate for the time being... we are going to The Dark Knight Rises tomorrow night. I cannot wait! Bought my tickets last week. I watch batman probably every other month. I'm obsessed, and I don't really know why. I sometimes just feel like its a batman day, so I pull out The Dark Knight.

I normally love rain storms. Considering that there was a horrible hurricane here just a few years ago, I kinda get nervous that something is going happen. (Colten say's I'm always nervous no matter what) The storms here aren't as bad as they are in Hawaii. I feel like when it rains in Hawaii, the whole island is going to get swallowed by water, and that makes me nervous. (maybe Colten is right about me always being nervous). But again I say... I normally love rain storms. When I went home a few weeks ago, it rained and conquered all the fires destroying our mountains. I like THAT kind of rain storm. I use to get nervous as a kid when it rained hard in Utah, but now I know that Utah doesn't have hardcore rainstorms like I've seen in Hawaii or now here in New Orleans. I miss Utah's rainstorms, I miss that I could just sit outside and watch the rain fall and not feel threatened.

Although it's quite comical to watch all those who thought they were tough enough to brave the storm, or just the ones that got caught in the storm, outside my window. They scream, run, can't see what they are doing, and usually run right into a huge puddle or get sprayed by the puddle as cars drive by quickly. Their umbrellas are usually trying to fly away, or they are their shield protecting them from the shooting rain pellets to their faces, but don't shelter them from getting wet whatsoever.

Yesterday we went to Walmart to get some groceries, and I was amazed at how many woman fight here. I was in the produce section looking for some dried apricots and this woman came up to a girl next to me. She started yelling saying she stole her shopping cart because she left her shopping cart right where we were standing, so we stole it. The woman standing next to me told her that she had her cart since she walked in and that she didn't steal anything from her. The other woman started pointing fingers at her and cussing saying she stole her cart and she was to give it to her. I just slowly walked away. Then, I get outside, and it's pouring rain so Colten leaves to go grab the car and pull it to the front so we can load up without getting wet, and this man and woman were fighting and yelling because one stole a parking spot from the other?! seriously... who cares?! They were all up in each others faces screaming and pointing. I just stood and watched. amazed at how long they argued over a parking spot.

Where is batman when you need him?

Watching out our window.

We literally have wire on our windows. I can't open them which sometimes drive me crazy.

flooded streets.

It's going to be a rainy, watch golf kind of day.
